Lazy Monday

I ordinarily detest Mondays but not currently mainly because I’m off function. With any luck , the temperature will be wonderful later on so I can go out and shoot.

This shot was taken at Taronga Zoo in Sydney. I was so enthusiastic to meet up with the Koalas but they were all sleeping when I acquired there and it was midday time! Far better luck up coming time!

The koala is a small bear-like, tree-dwelling, herbivorous marsupial which averages about 9kg (20lb) in weight. Its fur is thick and normally ash gray with a tinge of brown in destinations.

The koala receives its name from an ancient Aboriginal term meaning “no drink” mainly because it receives about 90% of its hydration from the Eucalyptus leaves (also identified as gum leaves) it eats, and only drinks when ill or moments when there is not plenty of humidity in the leaves. ie throughout droughts and so on.

The koala is the only mammal, other than the Greater Glider and Ringtail Possum, which can endure on a food plan of eucalyptus leaves.
